Fulham speak to Gattuso's brother regarding a move to England

Italian website Calciomercatoweb claim they have spoken to Gattuso who has confirmed his brother spoke to representatives of Fulham about a move to the Premier League. He has offers to come to both England and Scotland and he's currently mulling these over. There's no doubt he's been a superb player but his best days behind are behind him and with a remit of lowering the age of the squad, I can't see Jol going for this. Maybe he'd like to join Spurs where he can enjoy some friendly banter again with Joe Jordan?

Fulham target Luciano Narsingh unsure over whether to join Fulham or Ajax

Fulham and Ajax target Luciano Narsingh this week met with both clubs to discuss terms and look around the training grounds and facilities. He's just put out on his official twitter site the following:-

"Guys I do not know where my future lies. Thanks for the responses. Ajax & Fulham are both nice clubs. # # Narsingh Fulham"

He's obviously unsure and this could go either way as he's a former Ajax graduate and will have allegiances with them. On the other hand, Martin Jol's agent Raiola is also Narsinghs agent so this could sway him towards Fulham.

Hopefully he'll make a decision soon on where he'd like to join as his pace and trickery could work very well for Fulham in the Premier League.

Fulham linked with former PSG coach Antoine Komboare

French media have said that Fulham are interested in hiring former PSG manager Antoine Komboare to join our coaching team. Komboare is a former player at PSG and had a spell at Aberdeen as well. As a coach, he's been at Strasburg, Valenciennes and PSG.

This would be an interesting move as Jol had been linked with his former assistant Chris Hughton when he joined last summer and has had Ray Lewington and Billy McInlay in that role this season. You'd have to think if Komboare did join, it would be as Jol's assistant.

Hereenveen pair take a tour of the Cottage

Further to a report in the Sun today, Dutch paper De Telegraaf confirmed that Heerenveen wingers
Luciano Narsingh and Oussama Assaidi were given a tour of Craven Cottage on Monday. Both wingers will soon be into the last year of their contracts and signed with Martin Jol's agent Mino Raiola earlier this year.

Heerenveen had given permission to allow the players to fly to London and technical Director Johan Hansma said "We have the players Mino Raiola and given space to talk,'' "Narsingh Assaidi and Assaidi should have a good feeling at a club. It makes no sense if we reach an agreement with a club and the players do not want to go. For the transfer to suceed, you have to have 3 interested parties".

It's interesting that we're looking to make moves early and the fact that Heerenveen allowed the players to travel, must mean an agreement in principal is in place. Having Martin Jol's agent involved alludes to the fact we have a strong chance to land these players.

So, who are they?

Luciano Narsingh is a Dutch 21 year old right sided forward or winger who in 34 appearances this season has scored 8 goals and provided 22 assists.

Oussama Assaidi is a 23 year old, left sided attacking midfielder who in 27 appearances has scored 10 goals and provided 7 assists.

These could be exciting additions for Fulham but if they joined it would accelerate the rumours of the departures of Dempsey and/or Dembele.

Below are some YouTube video's of them in action:-

Fulham v Sunderland report

Looking at the fixtures earlier in the season, I’d looked at this game back in October thinking it could be crucial with us at that time, hovering around the relegation zone . Well in a way, it was a big game, it was to ensure we finished in the top 10 for the 3rd time in 4 years. Throw 3 different managers into those 4 years, the change of personnel and playing styles that go with that and it makes you realise how great an achievement that is. We are in fact only 2nd behind Manchester City in the form guide over the last 6 games and out of the last 6 away games, we’ve won 3 which normally equates to a season’s worth of wins for Fulham.

Prior to the game, there had been various rumours about players leaving Fulham in the summer and this meant it could possibly be the last home game for some of our bigger stars, namely Dempsey, Dembele and Murphy. If any were to go, would they deliver a performance to say Au Revoir in style?

The team was a familiar one from recent outings and the only change from the Liverpool game was Diarra coming in for Kakaniklic. With 2 teams sat in the middle of the table with neither relegation problems or European aspirations, you could be forgiven for thinking the game would be played at half pace.
