Fulham looking to increase attacking options

Not content with Berbatov, Ruiz, Petric and Rodallega, Martin Jol is after Japanese sensation

Fulham are considering making a January loan move for Catania forward Takayuki Morimoto.

The Japanese international spent last season at fellow Italian side Novara and impressed, despite being hampered by injury, scoring 4 in 18.

Catania took him back and, yet again, Morimoto is catching the eye.

Catania, though, are keen on nurturing their talent and will be hugely reluctant to lose one of their younger, prized assets. As such, a loan deal seems the only likely option though, even that could prove unfavourable for the Italians.

He has moved down the pecking order at Catania though, as Rolando Moran's side possess their own wealth of strikers, despite infamy back in his native land.

He holds the record as the youngest ever scorer in the J-League, at just 15 years old, while playing for Tokyo Verdy 1969.

And, although nine years down the line now, at 24, there's still a lot expected of the 10-cap forward.
