Werder Bremen Subs?
So was this just Fulham turning it on or did Werder Bremen just sub out all the starters and we thrashed their second team?
Brokejumper, I think it might be a combination of both.
The game wasn’t televised but the updates that I was receiving helped me get a little better picture of the game. Fulham seem to come out pretty flat in the first half.
They were a different team in the second half. This was from the get go of the beginning of the second half. The game really changed when Zoltan Gera entered. He scored a hat trick very quickly. There were subs for both sides in the second half. Regardless it is a confidence boost going into next week.
Is it just me?
What is often lost in the commentary are the assists – only the goals are described. In the Werder-Bremen match there were two dandies. the first was the Clint Dempsey pass to Zamora that put him in alone v the keeper. the second was from zamora to set up Gera. Those two passes were better than the goals (save perhaps Gera’s long distance strike). Keep the passes coming lads!
