Here is the latest Mark Schwarzer rumor regarding Arsenal. According to the Daily Mirror, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger wants to make a £2.5million transfer agreement with Fulham for Mark Schwarzer. The story states that Arsenal have already had a £2million transfer fee rejected by Fulham for the Australian goalkeeper.
The Daily Mirror story also suggests that if Schwarzer is to move to Arsenal and play at the Emirates, that could open the door for Fulham to get Manchester City goalkeeper Shay Given as a replacement. So this speculation regarding Schwarzer would indirectly effect three teams. Ths article mentions that Wenger would want the agreement to happen before Arsenal play an away game this Saturday at Blackpool.
On Monday I had a post that had speculation of Arsenal being interested in signing Manchester City goalkeeper Shay Given. So at this point fans of all three teams have to wait to see if any of these rumors become reality. As of right now Mark Schwarzer is still the Fulham goalkeeper. Only time will tell before the end of the transfer window if he will be leaving Craven Cottage to play at the Emirates. I will continue to follow all the Schwarzer and Given speculation.
