I just saw speculation that could indirectly affect Fulham. According to the News Of The World, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger could be watching the situation with Ajax goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg. The article mentions that he is a 27 years old Dutch International and has been with Ajax since 2001. He recently was a part of the Netherlands World Cup squad.
The News Of The World article discusses that the Ajax manager could be forced to sell some of his top players if he wants to bring new players to help his club. According to the article, Arsene Wenger is considering a bid for Stekelenburg. The story continues by mentioning that a an offer around £4million would be necessary to land the Ajax goalkeeper. If Arsenal were to bring in Stekelenburg it might affect Arsenal from making another offer for Fulham's Mark Schwarzer.
As I have mentioned prior, this summer there have been many rumors linking Fulham goalkeeper to Arsenal. The speculation surrounding Arsenal and possible interest in Maarten Stekelenburg could possibly change Arsenal's interest in Schwarzer. I will be following all of this speculation and will have updates when more information is available.
