I just saw this story and wanted to share it as soon as possible. According to Paul Warburton of the Fulham Chronicle, Danny Murphy could be a candidate to become Fulham manager. The Fulham captain would be a very interesting choice if Fulham management went in that direction.
Paul Warburton's article mentions that Roy Hodgson thought Danny Murphy could be a manager in the future. The article discusses that Hodgson stated his thoughts about Murphy last season.
Warburton mentions that Fulham have done this before with a player. In 2003, Fulham appointed Central Defender Chris Coleman as manager.
The big thing the Warburton article discuss is the respect that Murphy would have with the team. Danny Murphy joins a list of rumored names. The other potential candidates include Alan Curbishly, Sven Goran Eriksson, and Mark Hughes.
Now this is only speculation at this point. Only time will tell if Murphy is going to be considered for the job. I will be following this story closely and will have an update when information is available.
