Fulham to face Wolfsburg in Europa League Quarterfinals

Fulham now know their opponent in the Europa League Quarterfinals. They will face Wolfsburg in the Europa League Quarterfinals. I actually watched the draw live on UEFA.com. The first leg will be at Craven Cottage on Thursday April 1st. The second leg will take place at Wolfsburg of Germany on Thursday April 8th. As we get closer to the match I will have a preview of Wolfsburg. I will list the draw below which is courtesy of UEFA.com. You can also read about the draw in this article from UEFA.com entitled "Standard await Hamburg, Valencia play Atletico".

2009/2010 Europa Leauge Draw

Quarterfinals April 1st and April 8th

1. Fulham vs. Wolfsburg

2. Hamburg vs. Standard Liege

3. Valencia vs. Atletico Madrid

4. Benfica vs. Liverpool

Semifinals April 22nd and 29th

Winner quarter- final 2 vs. Winner quarter-final 1

Winner quarter- final 3 vs. Winner quarter-final 4

Finals May 12 at Hamburg Arena

Winners Semifinal 2  vs. winner Semifinal 1

This should be an interesting quarterfinal with Wolfsburg. Fulham, now have even more matches on their calendar. The only way Fulham would meet Liverpool is if both teams got to the Finals. Now that would be a dream final for me.

If you keep Dzecko and Grafite (tall order but possible) out of the away tie you’ve won.

However DO NOT underestimate Liege. This team has been together for 3 years now and is a swan song for most of those players, if (honestly Hamburg will underestimate them) they get by Hamburg they will be a tougher opponent then you think.

I’m cheering for Benfica as I hate the Scouse and pull for the underdogs in this competition. Fulham can be the next Middlesborough. Good Luck!

Somebody forgot to pick-up the trailer.
